World Mental Day - 10th October

World Mental Health Day is held on 10th October 2023 this year. There is always so much going on, with schools and local communities getting involved. It is so good to see, as the whole point of World Mental Health Day is about raising awareness and trying to make a positive change for everyone.

The theme for this years, World Mental Health Day, is raising awareness that ‘Mental Health is a Universal Human right.’ This is brilliant as everyone at some point is affected by mental health, either directly or indirectly. It is so important to keep talking and keep raising awareness.

If you would like to do something, maybe get involved, raise some money for local charities or just take time to think about mental health and what it means to you. Anything would be great. The key is to keep talking and supporting those who might be struggling.

If you would like more information, The Mental Health Foundation have lots of ideas about how to talk about your mental health as well as holding a tea and talk session. Have a look at their website https://www.mentalhealth.org.uk/our-work/public-engagement/world-mental-health-day for more details.
