Anti-bullying week 2023
Anti bullying week happens every year. The annual campaign helps to remind everyone how bullying can effect anyone and how we need to bring it to an end.
Sadly any form of bullying can have a huge impact on someone, both physically and emotionally. There is no need for bullying but unfortunately it does still happen. With now having so much on line via social media it does mean that some individuals never get a break from the bullying which feels relentless and so traumatic for any one.
Bullying causes so much effect, by impacting someone’s self esteem, self worth, confidence, emotional resilience. Makes them feel worthless, isolated and lonely. None of which is a good thing for someone.
If you, or someone you know is being bullying, speak to someone you trust, tell them what is happening so they can support you to help you put a stop to the bullying. Young Minds (https://www.youngminds.org.uk/) and National Bulling helpline (https://www.nationalbullyinghelpline.co.uk/) have useful tips and suggestions to help support you. As well as the anti-bullying alliance website.
Anti bullying week helps raise awareness and make some noise about bullying, the consequences of being bullied and bullying someone, and helps to put a stop to bullying for good.
Schools tend to have different activities taking place during the week, including odd socks days.
