When life gets in the way
Each and every one of us has things we need and would like to do. Sometimes though, life gets in the way.
We all work, whether this is paid or voluntary, keep our homes clean and tidy, look after children, parents or other loved ones either because of their age, health conditions or other medical reason.
We each have something we have to do, someone which takes us away from what we would like to do, maybe spending time with our family, completing some hobbies we enjoy or just having time to ourselves.
Most of the time, we aim to keep the balance between work, jobs and our life or doing the things we enjoy. Sometimes, though, life gets in the way and the balance shifts so we don’t have the time to complete the tasks we would like.
During these times, as they will come up occasionally, means we put ourselves under so much more stress and pressure. This means during these stressful times we should spend more time doing the things we like and enjoy, to retain the work life balance but we never seem to do.
When you next find yourself in one of these really busy and chaotic times, stop and take a step back to look at what is going on. Consider which jobs are essential and which can be left for another day. Ask for help, either at home or work, share tasks but make sure you rest, take time and stop to recharge byt completing the things you enjoy.
