Its Time to Talk Day
Time to Talk Day, takes place one day per year. It is the time to get talking about mental health, a time to listen and to start changing lives.
Time to Talk Day is run by Mind and Rethink Mental Illness and works in partnership with the Co-op. This is to help people not be afraid of talking about Mental Health. The more we talk about what is going on for us and our own (or loved ones) mental health, the better we can be and life can be better for everyone. The day helps break down the stigma associated with mental health and helps others understand the difficulties people can encounter and go through when they might be experiencing bad days.
Talking about mental health isn’t easy, as a Society we tend to hide behind our emotions and not always face the truth about what we are truly feeling. It can be so much harder to admit to someone you are struggling and to say how you really feel. However, having a conversation with someone, whether this is someone you know or a stranger, could change your life. It could help you make changes you need to make or get the help you may need at this time.
Time to Talk Day is the perfect day to start that important conversation about mental health, so lets starting talking.
